Eye dropper

Automated eye dropper designed for prescription eye drops.

Operation

Micro DC motor is used to rotate a band which holds 16 eye drop ampules. As the band rotates, a optical sensor is used to index each ampule by reading slots on the edge of the band. Once the ampule is in position a servo rotates a cam which compresses the ampule.

Features

The two legs can be compressed to help the user keep their eye open when in use. When releasing the compressed legs against their eyelids they act as a spring to gently keep their eyes open.
